Region Värmland is responsible for the regional development programme. What does this involve?
Region Värmland has been commissioned by the Government to draw up a regional development programme. That is to say, an overall strategy for how Värmland should work towards ensuring development. The current programme Värmland is flourishing and knows no bounds will apply until the end of 2013.
It has been produced in close cooperation with numerous organisations and joint action groups. All in all, over a thousand people have been involved. The regional development programme is the region’s joint platform; it is used for long-term planning with the objective of achieving sustainable growth. Värmland is flourishing and knows no bounds is also the region’s allembracing vision.
The vision will be realized by concentrating efforts in five areas: Leadership, Innovative Environments, Skills support, Accessibility and Quality of Life. The programme also presents the assets of Värmland that contribute to its potential for development. It addresses trends in the world at large that affect us and the challenges we face.
