Region Värmland is a public body responsible for promoting regional development in Värmland. The general aims are to create competitiveness and sustainable growth through initiating, coordinating and supporting regional development.
The organisation, which was founded in May 2001, consists of 16 municipalities and the County Council of Värmland. It's governed by 49 elected members and a board of 13 politicians.
