Educational videos with Jämställt

Here are four exercises designed to be carried out by as many in the organisation as possible at the same time. This way, you will get a mutual understanding of the significance of a fair workplace. Everyone will also get a common language to be able to talk about inclusion, gender equality, harassments, and domination techniques.

The one who leads the exercises

Every exercise starts out with a video. Watch the videos in the numerical order. You will pause the videos to do different exercises or watch video clips on external web sites. The pdfs and links you need can be found under each video. Printed material is needed for some exercises. The one who leads the group exercise must look through the videos beforehand to prepare the printouts.

The videos are produced by Jämställt.

Exercise 1 – Introduction to an inclusive workplace

You will learn why an inclusive workplace is better for everyone and what the difference of being accepted and included is. You will also get to know how norms control much of our everyday life – regardless of us being aware of them or not.
The one who leads the exercise needs to read the instructions and print some papers before you begin watching the video.

Exercise 2 – Gender equality

Why does gender equality make co-workers as well as organisations better? How are women and men treated differently, and what are the consequences for the individual and the society? Study the examples and the advice on how limitations can be turned into possibilities. Every participant needs access to a smartphone for the exercise regarding gender equality.

Exercise 3 – Harassments, jargon, and sexual harassments

When do jokes become harassments? And what are harassments really? How can you avoid imposing guilt on the one calling attention to the problem? You will learn what obligations the employer has to take a more preventative approach, what it means to be privileged, and how you can receive feedback in the event of mishaps.

You need to print the “Privilege test” and prepare the videos for this exercise.

Exercise 4 – Domination techniques

Domination techniques can arise even if no one means to cause any harm, but they always get consequences. You will learn more about four frequently occurring master suppression techniques and what happens when people are exposed to them. You will also find out how to turn them around with counter-strategies and confirmation techniques. The exercise about domination techniques have two pdfs to print.
